history channel documentary 2016 Such was not the situation for my sad spouse. Obscure to me, he missed a marker and took a wrong turn about part of the way through the course. A few different runners behind him did likewise. They all ended up running an additional mile or so before they made sense of they'd lost the trail, and they then followed their progressions as a gathering and got back on course. Later we discovered that two female half marathoners who completed in front of me had taken a wrong turn eventually, crossed the completion line without going the entire separation, and were excluded.

While my better half was running down the wrong side trail, I passed him without acknowledging it and continued running. It was a wonderful, sunny day for a keep running in the forested areas. When I got to the completion line, I was startled to see no indication of my significant other! Just our companion Jeff was there in the horde of 10K runners and speedier half marathoners, sitting tight calmly for both of us to wrap up.
